On the choice of ingredients, Executive Chef Dr Roberts described them as simple and basic with nutritional benefits.
He emphasized on the nutritional value of the 5 key ingredients as couscous which is a pasta has the most superior vitamin content of all pastas, mushrooms are high in riboflavin, pine nuts are very high in essential oil and vitamins, green bananas contains vitamins as well as starch that helps to manage weight, blood sugar and good for managing cholesterol levels, baby carrots contain vitamins A, B6, C and K and its more sweeter than the normal carrots.
They are to prepare a starter and a main course meal using at-least 2 of the key ingredients.
The contestants presented there dish and the judges had mixed reviews on the taste and presentation of the different dishes, but they however seemed to agree on the best and worst meal for this task.

Saratu won the task with her dish of mushroom and banana as started and yorkshire pudding for main course. Guest judge Kemi Adetiba described her meal as lovely and well worth deserving of the N20,000 cash prize for winning the task.

Bolarinwa and Damilola where in the bottom two and were put on probation which means is either one of them falls into the bottom two during the next task they would be evicted.
According to the judges, Bolarinwa's meal of couscous was described as horrible and Damilola's carrot and banana soup as weird.
